Hey, It's Okay

Hey, it's okay...

... to have taken a long hiatus from blogging. I couldn't write because I honestly didn't have the time.

... to have volunteered my family to stay with my parents for two and a half weeks while my dad recovered from having his knee replaced. It was hard, but the right thing to do... This was also one of the reasons I didn't write for a while.

... to be so happy my family is on the mend. My family came home from my parents' house on a Tuesday. Thursday, I started wheezing (which I've never done before) and went to the doctor Friday morning. He prescribed an inhaler and advised me to steer clear of the baby. By Monday, I was a lot worse and had a fever. I went back to the doctor who said I had bronchitis and prescribed an antibiotic and steroid. On Wednesday, my seven-month-old son woke up with dried snot under his nose and swollen eyes. Thursday, he had several episodes of breath holding (where a baby physically can't breathe during crying and can pass out). Friday, I took him to the doctor and he was diagnosed with RSV. This was his first illness. Sunday, my husband started feeling a little sick. Today, I am mostly better though I still have a bit of a cough and some sinus issues. My husband feels a little rough still, but is on the mend too (or so it seems). The baby is doing really well. He has some extra snot and coughing, but seems to be almost better.

... to be excited to have a crocheting lesson coming up. My aunt has agreed to show me how to do it. I bought some yarn and hooks before we left for my parents' and haven't been able to go to my aunt's house for my lesson yet, but will hopefully be able to do that soon.

... to be on a reading kick lately. I think I've read like four or five books in the last three days. Lots of reading!

  1. I'm glad your family is doing better!

I love to read too. I'm reading the newest Sophie Kinsella called Surprise Me.
